Another Trip to Singapore

Hey and Hello guys, i got my writing mood back after doing blog walker to my friends blog hehehe. Sometimes i get jealous with their blog because it so damn good. But i'm still learning on my english and learning about made a great blog, so please pray for me.

Anyhow, in the beginning of January, as i told you before, my family and i went to Singapore for a family trip. YEAAAH. I know i know, may be some of you have an opportunity to visiting Singapore often and it becoming not special at all, because nowadays Indonesian people, especially Jakara's people are went to Singapore as often as they going to Bandung. But for my family (which do not really like for having a trip oversees) it was special to get an opportunity to going there, so please appreciate my excitement.

So, it was a 5 days trip, a very exiting trip for me mihihi. We're stay in a nice and homey hotel near from Orchard Road, behind the Concord Hotel for sure. The hotel was very clean and the officer there is very nice, they also can speak in Bahasa. Actually for my brother and i, this is the second time visiting Singapore, but for my mom, this is the first time, so she feels very nervous back at that time. I think my mom was very cute when she got nervous, because she will doing everything wrong and blaming, and its cute hehe. We arrive about 12 PM and we are hungry.

Actually, i won't tell you about the trip, but i will tell you about Singapore it self. For you who never visit Singapore, maybe this post will give you an information about Singapore. So check it out.

First, i will tell you about the place that you have to visit when you have an opportunity to go to Singapore:

1. Orchard Road

Me and Mom at the Orchard Road

Yes yes, the very super famous Orchard Road. For the shop-a-holic, visiting Orchard Road is a must. There are a lot of hotel around Orchard Road, you can choose from the 5 star hotel until the family hotel, for a shopaholic, i suggest you to live near to Orchard Road, because you can't explore Orchard road only in one day. My family and i spend 2 days for exploring Orchard Road, although we not a shopaholic, but it still fun to exploring Orchard Road.

Beside of shopping, you also have to taste the street snack. They have an ice cream with bread or waffer and cost you about 1.50SD so cheaaap.

Mom just pose while my little brother and i enjoying ice cream, yummy

2. Bugis Street

Bugis street is the other shopping center in Singapore. You can get a very cheap clothing and stuff, accessories, gift, key chain, and a lots of street snack there. Actually, i always buying a souvenir for my relatives here in Bugis Street.

3. China Town and Little India

My family and i not going for this two shopping center, because we don't have much time to go there, maybe next time. But actually i already been in the Little India from my previous visit. It was nice to be there, and my buddy told everything about those place, but unfortunately i forgot what she explain to me that day, sorry. Little India always full with Indian people, they sell India's traditional cloth 'sari' and also a lot of India traditional things. Even the food, they only have an India's food there, so for you who don't like India's food, you better eat something before.

4. Science Center

Me pose in front of Science Center

If you travelling with children, you have to visit this place. This place is very nice and educative. Science Center is the same place like PP IPTEK in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, they will serve you an education in a fun way. But for me Singapore Science Center is much better than the one that we have here in Indonesia.

Kids can touch and try every single things on Science Center, they also put the explanation on it, so kids can study in the fun way.

Lets eat my head fufu~

There also a McD in Science Center, so you might not be hungry while exploring the whole science center. But i a little bit disappointed, that was my second time visiting science center, there are a lot of the properties that already broken. I hope they can fix it as soon as possible.

5. Merlion Statue

Merlion is a must when you come to Singapore. But my mom said that its okay if we skip this part because of the magerity (lazy-ness) and we don't have much time too. But i once been there and took the picture with it, so i'm not nagging my mom at that time hehehehe.

6. Sentosa Island and Vivo City

There are 3 different ways for you to get to Sentosa Island (saya cuma tau 3 kalau ada lagi boleh ditambahin). First, you can go there by car (by the bridge). Second, you can go there by walk. Third, you can go there by cable car from Vivo City. I have been there twice and i always go there by car, poor me.

Vivo City is not located at the Sentosa Island but near from it. For my, on my own opinion, Vivo City is just the ordinary mall, just like one of a big mall in Indonesia, maybe it looks like Senayan City. But one thing that catch my eyes is the garden on the roof top. Its just nice.

What to do in Sentosa Island? Well, they have the biggest Merlion Statue in Sentosa Island, its mother Merlion if i'm not getting wrong. It's really HUGE!. Now in Sentosa Island, they have a lot of place to go to. You can choose what place you want to visit. But i highly recommended for you to watch "The Sound of The Sea" its a great show.

7. Universal Studio Singapore

me and my lil brother sexy back :p

Actually, Universal Studio also located at the Sentosa Island hehehe. THIS PLACE IS REALLY DAEBAK (GREAT) FOR ME! Maybe i got bored with Dufan or i just like it. But i think you who travelling with little children (under 8 years old) can't enjoy this place. Because the games here are made for the mature people (orang dewasa maksudnya hahhaa).
Po meet his real family (i think) he is my big brother hehehee

my lovely great churos yumeeeeehhhh

My little BIG family

For muslim people, we don't have to worry about food here in Universal Studio, because they serve a lot of Halal foods every where in this huge theme park yeaaaah we can eat everything there. But, my family and i can't find any prayer room there, maybe some of you find them?? But they did not put it on the map, so i think they don't have it already.

Finish here.

Maybe, there still a lot of place to visit in Singapore, but i haven't visit it. So i can't tell you about that hehehe.

Here is some tips for Indonesian people if you want to go to Singapore:

1. Using MRT is cheaper than using Taxi or Bus.

at MRT station

2. Take a bottle with you everywhere, because they don't have a water on the toilet.
3. Wear the comfortable cloth, because Singapore is as hot as Jakarta and we have to walking.
4. You don't need to worry about the language, because most of Singapore people can speak in Malay.
5. Teliti sebelum membeli (gimana ini inggrisnya? haha)
6. For muslim people, please pleaseee be careful because they serve pork everywhere.
7. McD, Burger King, and KFC are Halal and the price is friendly.
8. McD and KFC do not serve RICE!
9. Do not smoking while you walking.
10. Just enjoy your trip

Well, that's all from me. Semoga bermanfaat, dan maaf kalo inggrisnya berantakan. Saya masih newbi kakak, masih belajar hehehe.

Move to Another Room

Bulan Agustus lalu, mama memutuskan agar gue pindah kamar.

My blue room

messy blue room

Now i'm living in the huge pinky room in the corner of dormitory. The room is very very uper uber huge! You can rolling over, jumping around, sleep over with 5 of your friends, buying a lot of stuff, and etc. But, this huge room makes me hard to make it clean and tidy, fiyuuu~. Yeah, there is always an advantage and disadvantage. This room also the blank spot of the dorm, i can't get a signal for my Blackberry, and it cause a chaos situation sometimes. But hey, i love my pinky room now hihi. Its great and makes you feel that you have a very huge space for living and doing everything.

So, for you who choose for living far away from your parents, in the different city or even country from your parents, i have a tips for pick the great room for you.
  9. Kebersihan lingkungan kosan
  10. Kenyamanan
Maybe that's all for today, i'm so sorry karena mulai jarang nge post. Karena perkuliahan semester 8 sudah dimulai ditambah urusan ini itu dan bimbingan tugas akhir, jadi yaaaa sibuk hehe. Oke, thanks for reading.

Lots of love,
